This is a repainted model, the original having suffered much wear and having a broken screen. This has been carefully rebuilt and looks just like a black 253 model might have looked like had Corgi not just painted them metallic red or blue. It was the earlier 230 model, with steering, that was available in black.

So I am not trying to restore anything or pretend this is original - I just like to try to keep good models in circulation and hope they'll be appreciated in someone's collection one day.

It is not expensive and looks great on display.
