The Volvo FH was introduced in 1993 and is still very much in use today. FH stands for Forward Control High Cab and if you see members afterwards, e.g. FH12 or FH16, these signify the engine capacity in litres. The Volvo engine design put them amongst the world leaders, resulting in their FH range being one of the most successful introductions ever sold, with a reputed 400,000 units worldwide. Albert Road Recovery is part of the Canute Haulage Ltd group, which acquired Albert Road Recovery in 1995. This branch of the company, in the bright yellow and red liveried vehicles, still operates from Purfleet in Essex, providing part of Caunte's national roadside recovery network of engineers and workshops.
