Inspired by the look of well-used vintage cameras, this "Brassing" pen is treated with a matte black lacquer finish that will wear off over time, exposing the solid brass body underneath.
Once exposed, the raw brass will also darken and deepen over time. How this patina develops depends on how you use the pen—the more you write with it, the more unique your pen will become!
For those who want to take a more hands-on approach to customizing the look of their pen, it also comes with a sheet of sandpaper that you can use to intentionally remove some or all of the black coating.
To extend the pen tip, press down on the end cap and rotate it clockwise. When you have finished writing, rotate the end cap counter-clockwise to retract the pen tip.
